All conveyancing legal service fees are based on standard transactions and do not take account of complexities that can arise for example: absence of planning permission/building regulations consent; unregistered titles; missing landlords, transactions not completing on the date set out in the contract etc. In such cases, our residential conveyancing time costs are charged at an hourly rate of between £200-£280 plus VAT (except in litigious matters) in addition to the legal service fee.
What our Legal Services on a Purchase will cover
The length of time to complete on a new purchase/sale will depend on a number of factors. The average process takes between 8-12 weeks but it can be quicker or slower depending on the parties in the chain. For example, if you are a first-time buyer, purchasing a new build property with a mortgage in principle, it could take up to 8 weeks. However, if you are buying a leasehold property that requires an extension of the lease, this can take significantly longer, sometimes, between 3 and 12 months.
